Developing novel analytical methods that improve accuracy, precision, and throughput is essential for advancing our understanding of how plants influence human health. More sensitive and reliable measurements enable researchers to better characterize the complex mixtures of nutrients and bioactive compounds present in plant foods, as well as to track their absorption, metabolism, and biological effects. Increased analytical throughput also allows larger and more diverse studies to be conducted, strengthening the evidence base needed to link specific plant chemistries with meaningful health outcomes. We are constantly developing new methods for common phytochemicals (carotenoids, anthocyanins, etc.) but are happy to collaborate to create or refine methods for compounds important to other research questions.
